Hi, I'm Andrew!I'm originally from southwest Georgia, but I consider Maine to be my true home. After graduating high school, I attended Truett McConnell University, where I met my wife, Paige. I was working my way through college as a delivery driver when Paige and I decided it was time to get away from the heat and move to New England. We found a cheap apartment in Madawaska, where I worked as a field organizer for the Maine Democratic Party. Once the election was over, I worked briefly as a teller for Acadia Federal Credit Union before moving here to Waterville to be closer to modern amenities. Since then, I have worked for financial institutions in Waterville and Augusta and have graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor's in American History.
I'm running for State House because, like many other Mainers, I know what it's like to work overtime and still struggle to pay the bills. I know how hard it is to live paycheck to paycheck and fear that no one will help you. And I know that the only way that we can make things better for people in my community and all over the state is to shake things up in Augusta and make Maine work for workers. If you elect me to the State House, I will do just that. |
